Frank L. Smith III
I am a lecturer in the
Centre for International Security Studies at the University of Sydney.
My research and teaching examine how political organizations and social institutions mediate the relationship between technology and international security.
I am particularly interested in biosecurity and cybersecurity. This includes research, development, acquisition, and doctrine for biodefense; global governance during transnational outbreaks of infectious disease; and defense cooperation in cyberspace.
I have a B.S. in biological chemistry and Ph.D. in political science, both from the University of Chicago.
